Gail Packwood

Executive Director, ADC - Associated Designers of Canada

Gail Packwood is a Toronto based arts administrator whose involvement with the performing arts spans 20 years. Currently she is the Executive Director of the Associated Designers of Canada.

Previous positions include Managing Director of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre, Director of Project Management and Creative Logistics at Catalyst TCM and Executive Director for the Artists’ Health Centre Foundation (now Artists’ Health Alliance) working to secure affordable health treatment options for the artistic community in the GTA.

In 2009-10, Gail was an Arts Management Fellow at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D. C. Prior to her time in Washington, Gail was the Associate Producer at the Canadian Stage Company and worked for seven years with Mirvish Productions in various positions in company management and production. She was President of the Board of Directors for the Theatre Centre in the West Queen West neighbourhood for ten years.

Gail holds a Masters degree from the Graduate Centre for the Study of Drama at the University of Toronto and a BFA in Theatre from York University. In 2011, Gail was honoured to receive a Harold Award from Toronto’s independent theatre community.
